What if you woke tomorrow to find that all your fantasies and fears,
all your dreams and nightmares were real? What if you found that
the world, once a single reality shared by all conscious beings on
the planet, had fractured into billions of private realities, each
controlled subconsciously by a single person?
Would your private reality, your own little world, become a heaven
or a hell? Would you remain there, content to relive the same
thoughts, feelings, events over and over for eternity? Would you
become a slave to your own subconscious?
Would you seek to break free and explore the countless unique and
varied realities of others? Would you become an explorer?
Or would you join with others to create a new shared reality, to turn
your new circumstances to your mutual advantage, to live, work and
play in a manner you choose together? In other words, would you
create a new home with friends and family?
These are the questions explored in Changed Earth, an urban fantasy
manga and fiction series created by Anthony Clifton.
Changed Earth is the story of Jessica Scott, a young woman able to create reality with the power of her imagination and the force of her will, Persephone Winters, Jessica's friend who is able to perform physically impossible feats of skill to protect everyone she loves, Alex Herriot, a hacker from the past thrust into a mysterious new world, and Sophie, the most powerful Artificial Intelligence ever created, on whom everyone's lives depend but who has the personality of a fourteen year old girl.
Together they are seeking all the things they lost when the world changed: home and family, love and friendship, purpose and meaning and identity.
In Changed Earth, literally anything is possible but nothing comes easy.
